Vitamins are a part of many people’s daily lives. People take them to fill up on the nutrients they did not have during the day. However, there may some side effects that can harm the body.

Niacin Is one of these vitamins. This particular vitamin helps the nervous system and also effects an individuals metabolism. The cells also need Niacin to function and fully develop. Unfortunately, Niacin can sometimes do more harm than good. Too much Niacin can be toxic to the body.

One particular example is a 61 year old man complaining about vision loss. Niacin was confirmed to be the culprit in this case. The man was taking six grams of the vitamin per month and it slowly deteriorated his eyes over the time. This vitamin has also caused muscle damage and stomach ulcers in other cases.

Although this vitamin can bring several benefits to the body, many should stay away from the vitamin due to the side effects.
